Love. What is this feeling? Is it a form of interpretation of our relations with another person, or perhaps it is simply the result of chemical reactions which take place within our frame? In the literature a great deal of descriptions and interpretations of this world can be seen. Some works describe love as a force linking two people whilst others as the calamite of all sorrow and conflict. But this is a mere portion of all interpretations which the literature and art has managed to create. Love is exactly the theme for the second game in Silent Hill series. But it is not just about love. As usual, the screenplay for Silent Hill is rich in sudden turns and twists. And we find a great many of feelings as a main theme for it: fear, trust, untrust or resentment. And all of this has been presented in a way which once more shall give you the goose-bumps. Apart from new characters and story, Silent Hill brings about a lot of new changes in relation to the first part, but all shall be taken care of in another section. Anyway, I would like to encourage you to once more venture upon the streets of the haunted town. The town which for some is a place of good memories and for the others, a place of worst nightmares. Once again we will have to tackle our own maladies and anxieties which dwell within every each of us. During this journey we shall find out the meaning of the word "Love". The word which many of us don't want to or can't understand. However, many of us understand this world, understands to what sacrifices we and obligations it leads to. But love is not the only feeling which accompanies our efforts with the evil-infested town. Another feeling most commonly met is fear, it is it that is our worst enemy. We shall meet many elements which have become an essential part of the series. Most of all the fog. Again it shall hide many secrets from our knowledge which we will have to reveal but it will also hide what should be afraid of. Once more shall we pass tour the hundreds of metres of streets and corridors only to seek out someone who is very important for the main character, someone who shall reawaken the love that rests within him. Someone without whom he can't live and will do anything do meet them again. Silent Hill 2 is a wonderful story of love which unites and seperates people, placed in a quite unpleasant, even abnormal environment. All those things have caused that we once more have the oppurtinity to a place close to us, riveting and repulsing alike.

Silent HIll 2 was released two years after the release of its precedessor which was(and still is) the best survival horror which we had the pleasure of playing. Does the sequel compare with the original? This and many other things you will find out here.
